Chianti castle

Gorgeous and characteristic tour, with a charming sequence of villages, hills and vineyard from whom classic Chianti (the most famous wine in the world!) is obtained. All of that deep in a suggestive medioeval feeling. We set a very special way for you to enjoy this territory: following our routes you will taste traditional flavors of this wonderful land.
Your journey will begin visiting Brolio Castle (VII century a.c), a unique experience that will bring you back in the past! You'll be able to admire the interior of the castle, its beautiful halls where some precious medioeval collections are held. Then you'll discover its centuries old park and hystorical italian garden. After that you'll visit the castle's cellars where the famous wines of "Barone Ricasoli" are aged... with some tastings of course!
The tour goes on with the lunch break at the "Fornace di Meleto" restaurant, next to an huge manor. Dipped into tuscan nature you'll taste the typical products of these lands. After lunch you'll enjoy a pleasant and cultural visit to the Meleto castle, hystorical memory of a manor belonged to Benedictine monks (XI century a.c.). A bottle of Chianti classic, produced in the farmhouses of the castle, will be given to you as a gift.
Afterwards the tour will take you to the medioeval village of Vertine, a village fortified by an original ring of walls almost
undamaged.
The tour will last about one hour but it'll give you the opportunity to go back 500 years in the past.
The tour will end visiting Vistarenni villa (XVII century), a majestic structure with old and gorgeous cellars totally dug in the rocks with groin terracotta vaults: in these cellars the famous wines of the villa come to maturation in big oak barrels and barriques.
